Cem Yılmaz, the most popular contemporary Turkish comedian who earned his reputation through standups, has the leading role in this movie, a spoof of science fiction movies as well as a take on an old -70s- tradition of third-grade super low-tech Turkish science fiction movies (e.g. Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam, Turist Omer Uzay Yolunda etc.).

In G.O.R.A., Cem Yilmaz is an honest merchant living in a touristic Anatolian town. His life takes an unexpected turn when aliens abduct him and take him to their own planet. While his primary goal is to escape from the planet and come back home, he finds himself waging a war against the alien human-hating commander who is struggling to take control of the planet.
